Dr. Matt Folley is a Senior Research Fellow, School of Natural and Built Environment, Queen’s University Belfast, United Kindom. He obtained his B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering at University of Reading and PhD in wave energy at Lancaster University. He is working related to the development of wave energy technologies for over two decades. Dr. Folley has been actively involved in all stages of the development process from the production and assessment of novel concepts, through numerical modelling and wave-tank testing, to the design and deployment of full-scale devices at sea. Dr. Folley has published extensively in the research and development of wave energy including over 50 peer-reviewed publications and has involved in many local and international organizations, committees, and workgroups working related to development of wave energy technologies.
